National Art Museum of Catalonia, BarcelonaThe National Art Museum of Catalonia(MNAC) is located in the Palau Nacional at the foot of Montjuïc. The museum was founded in 1990 by the merger of the Museu d'Art de Catalunya and the Museu d'Art Modern. MNAC exhibits mainly Catalan art from the Romanesque period to the mid-twentieth century. The collection contains sculptures, paintings, objets d'art, drawings, engravings, posters, photography, coins, medals and paper money.
