Horst Castle, located near the village of Sint-Pieters-Rode, dates back to the 15th century. The castle has been empty for over 300 years and has remained very authentic.

The living rooms date back mainly to the 16th and 17th centuries, they are beautifully decorated with stucco ceilings created by J.C. Hansche. It's impressive donjon is also open for visitors, the top can be reached after a steep and narrow climb.

Horst Castle is also "home" of the comic book character "The Red Knight".
