The Schilthorn is also famous for being featured in the James Bond movie "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" from 1969. At the top of the mountain you can visit the "Bond World" exhibition and follow in the footsteps of James Bond. In the "Bond Cinema" you can see the key scenes on the big screen. Outside on the mountain is "The Walk of Fame", It shows photos of actors and crew, as well as their hand prints and personal messages.
The top of the Schilthorn can be reached in 4 stages. You can take a cable car from Stechelberg or travel from Lauterbrunnen to Mürren via Grütschalp. We took the cable car from Stechelberg and enjoyed the spectacular views while going up to Gimmelwald. Find more info here on how to travel to the top of the Schilthorn.

A great place to visit with children and let them have fun at the playground or discover the flower trail. Allmendhubel also has a restaurant with a fantastic panoramic view. The funicular to Allmendhubel is a 5-minute walk from the cable car.
The next cable car that you need to board brings you from Mürren at 1907m (6257 ft) to Birg at 2677m (8783 ft). Birg is famous for it's Skyline Walk and Thrill Walk.
