Spread over the length of the dyke promenade in Middelkerke you can discover these bronze statues of comic book heroes. Middelkerke is the comic strip community at the Belgian coast. Every summer a comics festival takes place at the Arthur de Greefplein which attracts thousands of visitors.

During this festival there are thousands of comic books and famous artists will sign their work here. On the occasion of this festival, a new statue of a comic book hero is inaugurated every year.

Jurgen Huibers said...: You can find the statues between tram stop Krokodiel and De Greefplein on the dyke promenade. I would take the tram to Ostend after you saw all the statues. It's still a long walk to Ostend. You can take the tram at the Greefplein to go further to Ostend.; August 6, 2023 at 6:41 PM
