Saint-Malo is a walled port city in the Brittany region in France. The city has a history dating back to the Middle Ages when it was a fortified island at the mouth of the Rance River. Sant-Malo was also famous for its piracy. The corsaires of Saint-Malo forced English ships passing up the channel to pay tribute and brought welt from further away.
Most of the city was destroyed in the Second World War, but is was rebuilt in its original style. The ramparts around the city are 2 km long, it is possible to take a walk on it and enjoy the great view of the bay
