Winter Feelings in Toverland

Winter Feelings is an annual winter event at Toverland, an amusement park in Sevenum, the Netherlands. During Winter Feelings, visitors to the park can enjoy the Christmas atmosphere that the park has. Port Laguna is transformed into the Winter Laguna with thousands of twinklings lights and countless Christmas trees.

Especially for the event there is a skating rink and you will also find a curling track and tubing track. You can enjoy delicious winter snacks and drinks, such as hot chocolate and glühwein. And at various places in Toverland you can roast your own marshmallows.

Fifteen minutes before closing time you are invited for The Magical Winter Festival.  A final show full of song, dance and a sea of light which takes place at the Winter Laguna.

Winter Feelings is a fun way to get into the winter spirit and enjoy the park with the whole family. The event lasts from late November until January 15th.

Discover the Iconic Eiffel Tower in Paris

No visit to Paris is complete without visiting one of the most famous monuments in the world, the Eiffel Tower.

This iconic building in Paris was built between 1887 and 1889 as part of the 1889 World's Fair. It is named after the engineer Gustave Eiffel, whose company designed and built the tower. The Eiffel Tower is 330 meters tall and was the tallest structure in the world until the construction of the Empire State Building in New York in 1930.

 

The tower is made of steel and consists of four pillars that form a pyramid together. The structure has three levels - the first level, the second level, and the summit. On these different levels you will find a couple of restaurants, a few eateries, a champagne bar, museum exhibits, a children's play area, souvenir shops, Gustave Eiffel's office, and an observation deck offering panoramic views of Paris. 

When it opened in 1889, the Eiffel Tower had a reddish-brown color. A decade later, it was coated in yellow paint. The tower was also yellow-brown and chestnut brown before the adoption of the current, specially mixed “Eiffel Tower Brown” in 1968. 

If you want to visit the Eiffel Tower, make sure you reserve a ticket for the summit in advance. There are only a limited number of tickets per day to visit the top floor. On busy days it is possible that all these tickets are already reserved and you can only visit the Eiffel Tower up to the second level.
