The Landcommandery Alden Biesen was built by the German Order in the 16th century. A fire left most of the building in ruins in march 1971. Fortunately it is restored to its former glory and now a beautiful place to visit. The entry to the estate is free of charge. Only if you want to visit the exhibition in the castle and the restored apartments you have to pay a small charge for entry.
