Holy Year Cross Hill in Clonmel

Here you can see the Holy Cross Hill in Clonmel. It's a very peaceful place and very nice for a walk. If you're there at the right moment it can be full of colourful flowers. The walk up the hill is very steep but it's worth the view.

These Cliffs of Moher give you a spectacular view on the Atlantic Ocean. They rise up to 214m and stretch for 8km. They are located in the west of Ireland near Doolin.

Port Vell

Barcelona´s oldest port, Port Vell, was completely renovated for the 1992 Olympic Games. The port stretches from the Columbus Monument to La Barceloneta and has become a very popular meeting place during the summer. The most important attractions here are the IMAX theaters, L' Aquarium and the Maremàgnum shopping mall.

L' Aquarium

The Aquarium in Barcelona is situated at Port Vell, by the sea. With a total of 11000 animals, L' Aquarium is one of the largest in Europe. Inside are 35 themed tanks with a variety of Mediterranean fish species. The main attraction is a 80m long glass tunnel from where you can have a closer look at the different kinds of sharks swimming around it.

Barcelona Beach

The beach in Barcelona is not the greatest you'll ever see, but it's still a nice place for a relaxing walk or a swim in the sea. In the background of the photo you can see the building shaped like a fish. It's called Pescado and was build for the Barcelona Olympic Games.

Columbus Monument

The Columbus Monument stands at the site where he arrived after the discovery of America. It was designed by Gaietà Buigas for the World Exhibition of 1888. On top of the 60m high monument is the statue of Christopher Columbus pointing towards America made by Rafael Arché. Inside the pillar is an elevator which rides to a viewing platform for panoramic views of the Ramblas and Port Vell.

Cable Ride

The beach in Barcelona and Montjuic, a hill near the centre, are connected with a cable car. This ride is highly recommend for the great views of the harbor and Port Vell. The cable car travels every 10-15 minutes from Port Vell to Montjuic mountain, the tickets are for a single ride only.

Camp Nou

Camp Nou is the home of FC Barcelona since 1957 and is one of the biggest stadiums in Europe. It's possible to get a tour in the stadium and visit the team changing room, walk on the grass, see the chapel, the TV Room, the Press Room, the Fundacio Zone and the Presidential Box.

Parc Güell

Parc Güell in Barcelona is another masterpiece by Antoni Gaudi. The park was constructed for Count Eusebio Güell between 1900 and 1914. Originally the area was planned to be a residential garden village with 60 housing units. Eusebio Güell, however, failed to sell the houses and the property was bought by the city in 1922. The park is opened for public and is the perfect place to discover or to enjoy a great view from the beautiful mosaic benches on the terrace.
