Berlin Central Station

Berlin Central StationThe Central Station in Berlin is the largest crossing station in Europe. It opened in 2006, 2 weeks before the World Cup Football in Germany. The station is designed by Von Gerkan Marg and Partners and was completed after almost 8 years of construction work. The tracks are divided into two levels, six on the upper level and eight on the lower level. They make it possible for 1800 trains to enter the station per day and transport daily an average of 350 000 passengers.
