Bludenz is a town in the Vorarlberg region in the Austrian Alps. It is located on the Ill River and is the natural centre of the surrounding valleys.
The town is well known for the Milka chocolate festival which takes place every year in the beginning of July and wraps Bludenz in lilac.
The most important attraction is the Muttersberg, this can be reached by a panoramic cable-car and is a starting point for walks and mountain biking tours. It is 1400 m high and offers a wonderful scenic view of the south of the Vorarlberg region.
