Bergwaldpfad in Ziegelwies

Beside having an Auwaldpfad, the Walderlebniszentrum in Ziegelwies also has a Bergwaldpfad (Mountain Forest Trail) for children. This path is located on the opposite side of the street. When you follow the trail you can learn more about the protective function of the mountain forest. You also get more information about the different animals and trees of the forest.

Auwaldpfad in Ziegelwies

The Auwaldpfad (River Forest Trail) is part of the Walderlebniszentrum in Ziegelwies, Germany. The trail is 1,5 km long and has lots of activities for childeren. It also offers magnificent views of the River Lech that flows here.

Pinswang: an Alpine Village in Tyrol

Pinswang is a lovely alpine village in the northern part of Tyrol in Austria. It lies on the border with Bavaria in Germany and is an excellent starting point for exploring the region.

We stayed here for a week and found it was the perfect place to unwind and enjoy beautiful places in the surrounding nature. One of these places is the River Lech which flows through here. With its clear water a must-visit and a nice place for a relaxing time.

Pinswang is a great location for visiting the famous Neuschwanstein Castle and Hohenschwangau Castle. By car you can reach Schwangau, where the castles are situated, in 15 minutes. It's also possible to use the trail from Pinswang to Schwangau and walk or go by bike. You can find more info about the trail here.

If you're on a holiday with children, the Walderlebniszentrum in Ziegelwies is a recommended visit. It has two adventure paths for children and a treetop path. Not so far from here is the Lechfall and the historic center of Füssen.

From Pinswang it's also a short drive to Highline 179 (15 min) and the ruins of Burgenwelt Ehrenberg. A bit more far (50 min) is the Zugspitze, Germany's highest mountain.
