Barcelona Zoo is located in the Parc de la Ciutadella, not far from the beach. With over 4.000 animals from 400 different species, it is one of the best in Spain. The zoo includes lions, tigers, elephants, rhinos, hippos, lots of reptiles and a very popular dolphin show.
Barcelona Zoo also participates in various international and European breeding programs for threatened species.
