This famous little boy stands close to the Grote Markt on the corner of the Stoofstraat and the Eikstraat. On some days you can find him there naked but very often he's wearing one of more than 600 costumes. These costumes you can see in the City Museum.
There are several stories why Manneken Pis is standing here. According to one of them a little boy had watered against the door of a witch who lived where the fountain now stands. The witch was so angry that she turned the little boy into a statue. Whatever the real reason is today this statue is one of the most famous landmarks in Brussels.
