Triumphal Arch

view from the Triumphal ArchThis arch was built to serve as a monument to illustrate the glorious past of Brussels. The arch was planned for the world exhibition of 1880 but was completed in 1905. It is possible to go to the top of the Arch and have a view on the city. In the large halls on both sides of the arch are museums. The northern hall houses the Royal Military Museum and the southern hall houses the Autoworld museum.
