Tomp in Hamont-Achel

For a long time people believed that the Tomp in Hamont-Achel was a medieval defence tower. Recent investigations conclude that it was once used as a tower mill. It is believed that the mill was erected in the 15th century. A restoration was undertaken in 1969, as if it were a defense tower.
