An Adventurous Time in Planckendael Zoo

Planckendael Zoo is one of the most popular zoos in Belgium. It is located in Mechelen, 30 minutes from Brussels and Antwerp.

Planckendael is well-known for the storks that return every year from their winter migration. The animal park in Mechelen happens to lie on a natural migration route for storks. Planckendael Zoo is thoroughly prepared when the storks return and has 67 stork nests for around 130 animals.

In Planckendael you travel the animal world on 5 continents, each beautifully decorated. Five loops leave and end all from one central point at the entrance, so you don't miss anything of the park. Children will have a great time going on an adventure along suspension bridges, through the treetops, over the water and cool play areas.

Location: Leuvensesteenweg 582, 2812 Mechelen, Belgium.
