Main Street U.S.A. in Disneyland Paris was inspired by Walt Disney's hometown of Marceline, Missouri. After entering Disneyland, this street is the first you see with a view of the Sleeping Beauty Castle at the end of Main Street. The buildings here are beautifully decorated and give you the feeling that you enter a dream world.
In this part of Disneyland you can find lots of shops, restaurants, horse-drawn carriages and the Main Street vehicles. On either side of the street are covered walkways, called arcades. In the Discovery Arcade (closest to Discoveryland) you can learn about inventions of the 20th Century. The Liberty Arcade (closest to Frontierland) lets you discover the story of the Statue of Liberty. These passageways also provide access to the shops on Main Street. When there's a lot of public during parades, it is much faster to cross Main Street through these arcades.
